I wander the gardens every day and still get stopped in my steps as I turn a corner and see another stunning view! We had a group of over 50 people come through the gardens the other day, all of whom were blown away by how the gardens were looking. If you need to find a place where you can relax and unwind after a crazy week, then we would love to see you here. Wander around, stop for a while and have a rest on one of the seats placed strategically throughout the gardens, enjoy seeing the wonderful bird life flying around, see the eels and the trout swimming in the pond, take in the majesstic views and then to top it off have a tea or coffee and a bite to eat at the Cafe on Aston Norwood.</div><div>What are you waiting for!!!</div></div>]]></content:encoded></item><item><title>Gardens open September 1 2015</title><description><![CDATA[Hi everyone....getting ready for the big opening of Aston Norwood Gardens. currently we are carrying out repairs on one of our bridges which was badly damaged in a storm. hate doing things twice and it was my fault the damage occured......forgot to deal with a large pile of branches by the stream and the flood washed them up against the bridge. Building steps into the lower gardens which are currently under development. this area will be beautiful as it is right beside the Rimutaka Stream, has]]></description><link>https://www.ang.co.nz/single-post/2015/08/02/Gardens-open-September-1-2015</link><guid>https://www.ang.co.nz/single-post/2015/08/02/Gardens-open-September-1-2015</guid><pubDate>Sun, 02 Aug 2015 05:29:58 +0000</pubDate><content:encoded><![CDATA[<div><div>Hi everyone....getting ready for the big opening of Aston Norwood Gardens. currently we are carrying out repairs on one of our bridges which was badly damaged in a storm. hate doing things twice and it was my fault the damage occured......forgot to deal with a large pile of branches by the stream and the flood washed them up against the bridge.</div><div>Building steps into the lower gardens which are currently under development. this area will be beautiful as it is right beside the Rimutaka Stream, has lovely grass areas and mature pungas.</div><div>Composting all of the gardens so they look their best for September 1. </div><div>The Brown Trout arrive over the next couple of weeks. In partnership with NZ Game and Fishing we are introducing 200 trout into the lower pond to be fed up, hopefully by our garden visitors. These are a very exciting addition to the gardens, lets hope the Herons do not find out about them too quickly!!</div><div>We are feeding the birdlife with a hope of keeping them here all year round.
